There’s an Old Dutch card game called “Het padvinder spel”, loosely translated “The scouting game” but another (more literal) translation would be “The Pathfinder Game”. The game is terribly addicting and great to play with a few friends. It’s mostly luck but after a few beers everyone will claim to have their own perfect strategy.
Unfortunately the first corona wave robbed me of this great past time. So after a few Friday night drinks with friends on Zoom I decided to spice things up. After (re) learning Node JS I created a fun little online version of this game. The main point was to play with my friends so further development stopped after that was possible.
It was a fun little project that really paid of in quite a few online meetings till late in the night. It noticed that NodeJS was really accessible and was also happily surprised by the icons from Font Awesome
